Sponsorship Opportunities
We pay for our students out of all the donations we receive (General Funds), but we also offer individual sponsorships (Directed Donations). We are looking for people, or groups of people, willing to journey with one of our young students.
Please work with us to better serve them. Every dollar truly does make a difference.
Sponsor a Student
To sponsor a High School student: US$1,500 or US$125 monthly
Your sponsorship covers school fees, school supplies, uniforms, hygiene products, transportation, access to our drop in center where the student receives tutoring, food and water.
To sponsor a Post-Secondary student: US$5,100 or US$425 monthly
As you would expect, it is more costly to send a student on to Post-secondary education (university or trade school).

We always welcome donations to our General Fund so that we can continue to support students who do not obtain full sponsorships.

Through Canada Helps …
You can make a donation to us through the Canada Helps website. Canada Helps does keep a portion of your donation to cover their costs (approx 3.9%). Click Canada Helps to access the Starthrower Foundation donation form.

For E-transfers and Cheques sent directly to Starthrower Foundation:
Recurring Donations
Donations are collected throughout the calendar year (January to December) and a receipt is issued at the end of the year.
One-time Donations
If you are making a one time donation for the year, we will issue your donation receipt after your donation has cleared the bank.
Donation receipts are sent by Canada Post. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.
